  • What is vermeil?

Vermeil is the term used to describe solid sterling silver jewelry (925) that has been layered with at least 2.5 microns of solid gold or platinum. All of our pieces are made using 3 microns.

Vermeil can last for years longer than gold-plated jewelry. It is a reliable alternative to solid gold jewelry because it can be used to produce pieces that are both long-lasting and affordable. 

  • How do I take care of vermeil jewelry? 

We recommend putting your jewelry on last and taking it off first each day.

This means try to avoid putting products directly on your pieces like lotions and perfumes. Light water exposure will not cause any damage, but prolonged exposure to water with harsh chemicals will affect your pieces over time. 

More information on how to care for your piece will be found on the care card sent in each package, along with a reusable pouch that you can use to clean your pieces and store them. If taken care of well, you can expect your pieces to look great for years! 

We are working on making recycling and re-plating an option for customers - sign up to our newsletter for updates on that process! We are also working on a line of solid gold pieces for those wishing to invest in treasures that can be worn without any worry of exposure to harsh chemicals over time.

  • How long will my order take to dispatch / arrive?

Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to be sent out. The arrival times vary depending on the country you're in and the delivery option you choose at checkout. Generally we aim to have all packages delivered between 5-14 days after the order has been placed, although the majority of our standard shipping options will deliver before then. 

  • What is your exchange / return policy? 

At the moment we can only accept exchanges on products if there happen to be any quality defects that we missed. Because of COVID and general hygiene practices, we cannot accept returns on any items that have been worn (even if only to try on). Please use the contact form on our site to let us know if there are any quality issues with your piece, or if you're unsatisfied in any way with what you receive. We will do our best to help you out - we want you to love our pieces as much as we're proud of them! 

Please also bear in mind that because each piece has been handmade, there may be minute differences between each one. Because of the nature of handcrafting them vs mass manufacturing, each piece is unique.
